Jason Spees
Chief Executive Officer
Jason Spees joined the organization as its President and Chief Commercial Officer in July 2021. Jason brings decades of proven leadership in executive roles at Boston Scientific, Preventice Solutions, and Biotronik. Additionally, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Biotronik within the practice areas of cardiac rhythm management, cardiovascular intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, diagnostics, and digital health. Before his tenure at Biotronik, Jason provided seasoned direction as Chief Commercial Officer at Preventice Solutions and multiple senior responsibilities at Boston Scientific, including Vice President of Sales.
Jason received a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, where he graduated with academic distinction. He also holds an M.A. in Public Management and Finance from the University of Maryland.
David Prutchi, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer
David has been with Impulse Dynamics since 1998, bringing over 20 years of experience in biomedical research and development and medical electronic instrumentation design. Additionally, David has been instrumental in leading and guiding our team to successful outcomes. Dr. Prutchi’s experience includes Bradycardia Advanced Technology for Sulzer-Intermedics Inc, where he directed the design and development of next-generation implantable pacemakers.
Peter Donato
Chief Financial Officer
Peter joined the company in 2024. Peter brings 32 years of experience including over 20 years of both public and private executive leadership roles, primarily in the human life sciences space. Prior to joining Impulse Dynamics, Peter was executive vice president and CFO of Zomedica. Peter served as an executive vice president and CFO of Standard Bariatrics and, in a similar capacity, at Philadelphia-based Neuronetics, a leader in transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression, where he co-led the Company’s successful IPO in 2018. Peter’s executive experience also includes Assurex Health (a company that successfully exited in a $410M sale to Myriad during 2016), Bovie medical (now APYX), Cyberonics (now LIVA), and Iris International (formerly IRIS). Peter graduated magna cum laude from the Fisher College of Business at THE Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Akron.
Paul Bae
Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel
Paul joined the company in 2024. Prior to joining Impulse Dynamics, Paul served as Chief Legal Officer at Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc.. He was responsible for the company’s legal, compliance, internal audit, quality, and regulatory affairs functions. During his career, Paul also served as General Counsel for the healthcare platform at Fortive Corporation, and on the management team at St. Jude Medical, Inc. (now part of Abbott), as Corporate Chief Human Resources and Chief Compliance Officer, and as General Counsel and CHRO for the Americas. Paul is a graduate of UCLA and the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law.
Anthony Hong
Chief Science and Strategy Officer
Anthony joined the company in 2024. Anthony has 32 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device industries, strategically planning and tactically executing complex early to late-stage programs. Prior to joining Impulse Dynamics, Anthony served as Vice President of Global Strategic Marketing for Biosense Webster, where he led global portfolio strategy, evidence generation strategy, cross-functional and cross-regional partnerships, product positioning, and launch excellence. Prior to that role, he was Vice President of Preclinical & Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, and Biostats/Programming/Data Management for four businesses (Biosense Webster, Cerenovus, Mentor, and Acclarent). Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science from Boston University and a Masters in Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Business.
Noel Colón
Chief Operating Officer
Noel joined the company in June 2024. Noel has 33 years of experience in the Medical Device industry, most recently as Senior Vice President, Research and Development at Medtronic. Previous to that, Noel served as Senior Vice President, Chief Quality Officer, at Medtronic responsible for end-to-end quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Noel’s career also includes 17 years at Boston Scientific (Guidant), in several leadership roles in manufacturing, development, and quality for the Cardiac Rhythm Management division in Minnesota, Ireland, and Puerto Rico. Noel received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, and his Master of Business Administration from InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico.
