The implantation took place at the Semmelweis University by Prof. Dr. B\u00e9la Merkely<strong>, <\/strong>director of the Semmelweis University Heart Center in Budapest, who is also the Treasurer of the European Heart Rhythm Association &amp; Past-President of the Hungarian Society of Cardiology.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Merkely commented: \u201cI am very happy to provide the Optimizer system in Hungary. Especially as this new therapy addresses unmet clinical needs in patients with Chronic Heart Failure with Narrow QRS Complex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased to be able to provide the CCM therapy, delivered by the Optimizer device to patients in Hungary\u201d said Eric Goarin, VP of Sales and Marketing for Impulse Dynamics.\u00a0 \u201cWe are committed to demonstrating the value of the CCM therapy for patients and the healthcare systems globally working closely with physicians and their teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>About the Optimizer and CCM Therapy<\/h3>\n<p>The Optimizer IVs device delivers the CCM therapy and it has been successfully launched in Europe and is available in cardiologycenters in various countries. The CCM therapy has been implanted in over 2000 patients to date and is the only device therapy available for patients with narrow QRS complex.\u00a0 Impulse Dynamics has completed a vast number of clinical studies, including several randomized controlled trials. The results have been published in over 60 publications in leading medical journals.
