Stuttgart, 6th June 2016 – An international audience of professionals at HFA 2016 – Heart Failure Annual Meeting was updated by the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin on the latest Clinical data for Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM) Therapy delivered by the Optimizer device. Heart Failure is the annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology’s Heart Failure Association, and is considered to be the leading international heart failure congress.
The Charité Satellite Symposia held on Monday, May 23rd, 2016, was chaired by Prof. Burkert Pieske (Berlin/Germany) and Prof. Stefan Anker (Göttingen/Germany) and included the following presentations:

Prof. Cecilia Linde (Stockholm/Sweden) - Cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) for heart failure: the trials so far and results of the meta-analysis
Prof. Andrew J. Coats (Warwick/UK) - Update on the long-term response to CCM and ongoing trials
Prof. William T. Abraham (OH/USA) - CCM mechanism of action and future developments into HFpEF
Prof. Carsten Tschöpe (Berlin/Germany)
The latest data on CCM was also displayed at a Poster Session on Saturday, May 21st, and Sunday, May 22nd, 2016: “Favorable Long-term Mortality Profile in NYHA III/IV Patients Treated with Cardiac Contractility Modulation (CCM)”
